Creating your own custom reports couldn't be easier, and yet you have complete control over any set of data criteria in the RigLogix database to make your report creation extremely powerful. You start by creating a new report, which you can name, describe, size for export, and choose to share with others in your workgroup.
Basic Report Criteria
The real power in your custom report becomes apparent when you start to select your search criteria. Basic criteria come first – select the rig types you want to view, select the areas of the world you are interested in, select the status of the rigs that interest you, select the water depths of interest both rated and current operating, select the availability of rigs, select specific rig managers, and select specific operators. Any combination of these basic selections can narrowly define your results or allow you to examine a broad swath of the rig market.
Advanced Report Criteria
Next, experience the almost unlimited flexibility of customized reports when you set up your advanced search criteria. You can query multiple data points at the same time, data points that span the entire cross section of data available through the RigLogix system. Search for major equipment manufacturers, look only at rigs with day rates under $50,000, look only for rigs with "U" type BOP stacks, and so much more. With over 100 data points to search on, your custom report can do just about anything you can imagine.
Select Exactly the Data You Want to Display
Finally, set up your reports to meet your specific needs. You can display any piece of data in your report simply by adding it as a report column. Once you have determined what pieces of data to include in your report columns for display, you can adjust the order of the columns to put what's most important to you first and group your data the way it best fits your needs. Grouping in RigLogix even allows you create reports that provide complex aggregate statistics, such as listing the average water depth, average drilling depth, average day rate, and number of rigs of each specific rig type in each area of the world.
Flexible Data Formats and Delivery Options
Once you've created the perfect report, your options for accessing the data are great. Of course you can view your reports from any computer with Internet access from anywhere in the world at any time of the day or night, but you're not limited to online viewing.
