People are the key to making any product or service successful. RigOutlook was no exception.
Dr. Trichy Krishnan, Head of Marketing Department, NUS is a Mechanical Engineer with a Ph.D. in Marketing Management Science from the University of Texas, Dallas. Dr. Krishnan has over 10 years experience in developing math models for sales and pricing forecasts while working at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and previously with Rice University.
Tony Beebe is also a Mechanical Engineer and is an MBA graduate from Rice University. Mr. Beebe has over 10 years experience with drilling contractors and equipment manufacturers with assignments in the US and internationally. His experience includes offshore positions, project engineering, operations management, project management and business development.
Dr. Krishnan and Mr. Beebe first began working on modeling active rigs in 2002 when Tony was studying under Dr. Krishnan in graduate school. Over the following years they continued work on the model and in 2005 agreed to bring a product to market with Rigzone as a joint venture. The first RigOutlook issue was delivered in May 2006.
